Even thousands of beginners cannot pass their first attempt due to some mistakes that are easily avoided. The good news? Each of them can be remedied.
Bypassing the formal Microsoft Learn.
Daniel Yim identifies one of the greatest errors in undertaking an Azure certification as being unaware of the free learning platform created by Microsoft itself, Microsoft Learn. A big number of students go directly to YouTube or paid courses and even do not see the official study guide.
The problem? Microsoft writes a gazette of azure. The questions are asked on the basis of the official documentation and learning paths. By missing Microsoft Learn, you will be preparing to pass an exam that is not the one you will pass.
How to avoid it
When you need to study, it should also be your first source, not a backup, always go to learn microsoft and look up the official learning path to your exam (AZ-900 or AZ-104), and go through it one module at a time.
Remember to Add an extension:
Microsoft Learn is completely free to use and is constantly modified based on the modern exam goals. It is the best resource in any Azure test.
Learning theory with no practical experience.
Knowing the definitions and subscribing to the definitions is a good beginning, but the Azure certifications exams evaluate working knowledge. It is true that many beginners will spend 90 percent of their time reading and only 10 percent of their time on the actual use of Azure - and it can be seen on the day of exams.
Azure also has scenario-based questions:
"A company has 50 TB of unstructured data, and it needs to store it at a cost-effective price, what service would they want to use? Probably you cannot reply to such well, without practical experience. How to avoid it
Create a free Azure account (you are provided with free credits of 200 dollars). Exercise To set up virtual machine, create storage accounting, and navigate the portal. Target no less than 30-40 percent of your time in the laboratory.
Interesting fact:
Microsoft Learn has free sandbox environments that are available without the need of a credit card. Apply them with each module that you attend.Selecting the inappropriate certification to begin with.
A lot of novices will go directly to AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ-204 (Azure Developer) without having any proper groundwork. These role-based certifications presuppose that you are familiar with basic concepts of clouds.
And in the absence of that foundation, you will take twice as much time to study yet you will be lost on test day.
How to avoid it
In case you are absolutely new to cloud computing always begin with AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals). It includes cloud concepts, cloud services at Azure, pricing, and governance - and most basic users will be ready in 20-30 hours. After passing AZ-900, choice of your next certification will become a lot easier.
Hint:
AZ-900 will feel like a Blue base like it did. It simplifies and quickens preparation of each exam that follows.Failure to take practice examinations prior to the actual exam.
There are vast quantities of first-time takers coming to their Azure without ever having done a comprehensive full-length practice. Students are confident with the understanding obtained in reading, but confidence based on reading only is quite different compared to being ready on exam day.
Azure exams are time-limited. In the absence of practice exams, a number of students end up finding out of time, during stress, or being distracted by the wording of the questions - despite having an idea of the material.
How to avoid it
Practice your exams Take at least 2-3 tests of full length before your test date. Strive to achieve a steady rating of 80% or more before reservation. Better still, to analyze watch all the wrong answers, to be aware of the reason why you missed.
Pro hack:
Microsoft provides free official practice testing on Microsoft Learn to most examinations in the Azure. These are applicable prior to third party testing expenditure.Raising dumb issues instead of correcting them.
It is natural human tendency to devote more time on familiar topics. But in Azure certification preparation this is life-threatening. Upon seeing that you steady have a low score in either of the networking, identity management or governance, it will not dissolve out when you are in the exams.
Each of the parts of the exam matters. Even a poorly scored question such as several marks of a heavy topic in "Manage Azure identities and governance" (up to 25% of AZ-104) can get you to fail in a single attempt even when you passed all other questions.
How to avoid it
Following every trial run, find out which 2-3 areas you are doing poorly in and spend time on studying them. Official Microsoft Learn modules should be used in those areas. Test again to ascertain there is improvement before proceeding.
Pro tip:
